What People Are Saying

"I have been participating in nationwide Federal Procurement Conferences for more than 15 years and Showorks events for more than 4 years nationwide and found the quality of leads/contacts made at the October 6, 2010 Showorks Greater DC Procurement Event to be the "best" ever. We really enjoy the Showorks events, love Bev K. and her warmups/followups and are registering for Baltimore 2010 and Atlantic City 2011 ASAP! Thanks Cathy and Teri for another great conference. Please have any first time registrants call me if they need any referral info. I think we have done 7or 8 of these events now since 2007 nationwide and we always get 10x20 times our exhibitor investment in new business minimum. I have never had a consistent ROI like that in any other procurement event anywhere!"

Why is this event so important to your business?

Keep in mind -- This is a tool in the procurement process. Do not expect to win a contract on site. Ask pertinent questions and find out what that agency or contractor is looking for and what you need to do to qualify.

A primary challenge for business is to be aware of current regulations and guidelines. This conference provides opportunities to meet buyers and contracting officers from major military bases, the surrounding states and large companies to discuss business opportunities. Educational sessions will provide current information on emerging new standards and provide you with the tools to bid and contract successfully, gain valuable information and share success stories. This is your opportunity as a supplier to identify potential new contracting sources and network with buyers and other attendees.

  • Make hundreds of face-to-face contacts in one day
  • Receive contact information for buyers and contracting officers
  • Meet companies that could potentially become "partners" in preparing proposals and contracts

"I just did months worth of work in only 8 hours!" - Tammy S. "There is no way I could have connected with the quality of people I did today on my own. I met decision makers from companies I've been trying to reach and got all the information I need to start winning new contracts." - Brad H.

What is the format for the day?

Keep in mind -- This is a tool in the procurement process. Do not expect to win a contract on site. Ask pertinent questions and find out what that agency or contractor is looking for and what you need to do to qualify.

The MatchMaking area will be located in the center of the Exhibit Hall with exhibits around the perimeter.

  • MatchMaking Meetings: Pre-Registered Attendees and Small Business exhibitors will be able to schedule their own meetings with prime contractors and government agencies shortly after registering.
  • Trade Show: Because of space restrictions, a limited number of TableTop Exhibit spaces are available for this event.
  • Presentations: A series of workshops will be presented in the morning detailing success strategies for doing business with the government.
