The U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce its 2011 Small Business Conference & Expo,
Hosted by the City of Alexandria.

The U.S. Department of State is committed to increasing participation by U.S. small businesses in domestic and overseas contracts. You will be able to attend workshops to further your understanding of Department of State Bureaus, Offices and Programs. The afternoon networking will give you the opportunity to meet with program office representatives, contracting officers, and large prime contractors

Breakout Sessions: Learn about doing business with specific Department of State Bureaus and Offices.

Networking Sessions: You will be able to meet with program office representatives, contracting officers, and large prime contractors to discuss your capabilities as well as opportunities with the Department of State in the afternoon.

This event is coordinated by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) whose mission is to support the overall mission of the Department of State by promoting the use of small businesses, including those owned by women, veterans, and Historically Underutilized Business Zones and socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses. In carrying out its mission, the OSDBU strives to maximize the Department of State’s procurement opportunities for small businesses representing a diversity of ownership.
