Albert Garza

US General Services Administration
Albert Garza has been involved in government procurement at both the federal and local levels for twenty years. He started with the General Services Administration (GSA) as a Presidential Management Intern in 1988, and held a variety of positions with GSA's Federal Supply Service in Fort Worth and San Diego. In 2000, he became an economic development specialist and then contract officer for the City of San Antonio's Economic Development Department. In 2007, he returned to GSA as the Director for the Small Business Utilization Office located in Fort Worth. Mr. Garza has a B.A. and M.A. in Urban Studies from Trinity University.

Willie Heath

Willie Heath's previous position was the Director for the General Services Administration (GSA), Regional Office of Small Business Utilization. He has over 37 years of government service at GSA. Besides two years in the military, he has been in various organization of GSA since 1971. In his previous position as the Director for the Regional Office of Small Business Utilization, his core functions in support include the following objectives:
Outreach: Contact with small, minority, woman owned, HUBZone, and Veteran owned business communities.
Counseling: Provides assistance to individuals(s) and groups to learn about Federal contracting opportunities, and to advise the Small Business Community on how to market to Federal Agencies.
He participates in short and long term procurement activity. Reviewing ongoing procurement actions to determine appropriateness for set-asides, utilizing resources maintained in the Small Business Community.
He has received numerous Outstanding Performance Awards and Special Achievement Awards during his employment with the Federal Government.
He is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, with a major in Business Management, and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Board member of the Arlington Black Chamber of Commerce since 1999.
Advisory Board of Directors member for the Associates of Black Account since March 2003.
Member of the Ambassadors of Fort Worth Organization.

Received the Thanks from the Mentorees Award on August 25, 2004, from the Fort Worth Business Press and the North Texas Commission.
Received the Small Business of the Year Advocate Award on July 14, 2004 presented by Alliance Texas 2004. A small business advocate is an individual who has used his or her professional expertise or personal talents to further the understanding and awareness of small business. These individuals have also taken an active role in creating opportunities for small businesses. The Small business community made nomination and Selection Process. Draft letters were sent to M/WBE’s and the NMSDC MBEIC chair’s and Woman’s Councils with the 5 states of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
Received the Public Service Excellence Award from the Federal Executive Board on May 27, 2004, for my outstanding contribution to Public Service and my commitment to the American Public.
Received Pride Award from GSA in December 2001. This award was presented to only one person in the Regional Staff offices through our 5 state area of Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Texas.
Received Commendable Service Award from GSA on December 2001.
Received the Recognition of Achievement Award on February 26, 2001 from the North Texas Commission and the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Business Development Council for my participation in the 2000 Mentor-Entrepreneur Program. This program offers small businesses an unparalleled opportunity to accelerate the development of their business and thereby strengthen the Metroplex economy.

Received a National Partnership for Reinventing Government and Hammer Award from Vice-President Al Gore of the United States in January 11, 2001 for the Hassle-Free Electronic Government Service Team.

Received the Corporate Support of the Year from AKINKANJU, NIBA on December 20, 1998.
Received Commendable Service Award from GSA on September 10, 1998.
Received the Minority Enterprise Development Week, October 1996, Minority Business Advocate Award and Proclamation from President Bill Clinton.

Bobbie Jessie

As President of JES Tech, Bobbie Jessie leads a management team focused on reliable delivery of support services that create outstanding customer satisfaction. For over 25 years she has been a leader in the Aerospace community, managing groups and projects ranging in size from eight to 300 employees at locations throughout the United States. Her professional resume includes oversight of engineering, scientific, and technical work forces on complex government programs, such as the Space Shuttle and International Space Station (ISS). Opening the doors of her business in April 2004, Ms. Jessie was convinced that she could transform people’s lives through a positive employment experience. Relying on her personal experience as an employee of a small business, she has shaped a company that places great importance on making a difference in the environment in which people live and work. By leveraging relationships within the business community to promote economic development and employment opportunities for HUBZone populations, Bobbie is truly “Igniting Opportunity”

Mark King

US General Services Administration
After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Mark King joined the General Services Administration as a Financial Management Specialist Intern. Upon the successful completion of the internship in 2004, he made the switch to the federal procurement field by joining the Multiple Awards Schedules Program where he is currently working under Schedule 73, Food Service, Hospitality, Cleaning Equipment and Supplies, Chemicals, and Services, as a contract specialist. He is now responsible for managing over 90 active Schedule contracts, the majority of which are with small businesses. In addition to the regular contracting responsibilities, Mark is actively participating on a region wide recruitment team as well as a modification process review team. He also routinely conducts training classes for the Acquisition Center. Mark King currently serves as a member of the Disaster Response Team and was recognized for his service and support during the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

Nina Miller

Jordan-BE&K Federal Group LLC
Nina M. Miller has been involved in Government construction for over 20 years. Her construction project experience has included assignments within the U.S. as well as in foreign locations, for Government agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Dept. of State, the Dept. of Energy, the Navy, the Air Force, the Army Corps of Engineers, the Defense Commissary Agency, and U.S.A.I.D. She attended Auburn University, and is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). She is currently the Business Development Manager for Jordan-BE&K Federal Group, LLC based in Dallas, Texas. In this role she directs all of the company’s marketing and business development functions. Ms. Miller is also Jordan-BE&K’s Small Business Subcontracting Program Administrator, developing and implementing the Program’s requirements and guidelines, including Small Business Subcontracting Plans. She works closely with the Estimating and Operations departments to ensure Program compliance, from project pursuit through its award, execution, and completion. Her years of first-hand project experience, working with subcontractors and suppliers, has made her especially adept as the company’s SBLO, serving and assisting the small business community to maximize their opportunities for participation in Government construction projects.

Jamie Schueller

US General Services Administration
Jamie Schueller is a Contracting Officer with General Services Administration Public Building Service in the Program Support Branch. Jamie procures and administers regional indefinite quantity contracts to support PBS's operations and the Capital Construction Program. Prior to serving as Contracting Officer in PBS, Jamie served as a Contracting Officer in GSA Federal Acquisition Service under the Multiple Award Schedules program in the Law Enforcement and Security Branch. Jamie is a graduate from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in Marketing in 2002, and has spent her entire acquisition career with GSA.

Joe Trahan

WFAA-TV
Joe Trahan joined channel 8 in June 2003 and serves as weekend sports anchor and a sports reporter. Since joining Channel 8, Joe has covered the Cowboys surprising 2003 playoff season, Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston and the Rangers trading Alex Rodriguez to the Yankees. Trahan has been in the television business since 1989. His career began at WWL-TV in New Orleans while still attending Loyola University. Trahan covered the 1992 World Series (Braves vs. Blue Jays) during a three year stint at WCBD-TV in Charleston, South Carolina. From there he returned to New Orleans where he eventually became sports director at WVUE-TV. Trahan is a veteran of several major sporting events including multiple Super Bowls, and BCS Championship games (that happens when you’re in New Orleans long enough). A sample of some of the awards on his resume include: Texas Associated Press – Best Sports Story 2003; Press Club of New Orleans - Best Sportscast; Louisiana Associated Press - Best Sportscast; Press Club of New Orleans - Best Sports Feature; and Green Eyeshade Award Atlanta Society of Professional Journalists - Best Sports Story. Joe is a native Houstonian and attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. An avid golfer, Joe sports a single-digit handicap and a real passion for the game. He and his wife Amy and daughter Sophia live in Plano.
